“I have always imagined that Paradise would be a kind of library.”
Jorge Luis Borges
I am a self-confessed Bibliophile. I love reading books, collecting books, decorating with books… in fact, just looking at them fills me with joy! I love the smell of books and the feel of the pages between my fingers. I love that the simple act of turning pages carries you deeper into a story, and plunges you into another world, another life, where anything is possible. And that moment where you turn the final page and finish a book you’ve loved… oh, what a bitter sweet moment!
Of all the books I’ve read, some have etched themselves onto my heart more than others.
These are the keepers. The ones I’ll cherish forever and pass onto the grandkids. Books that survive the big spring cleans, year after year.
Here, in no particular order, are some of the books I’ve read and loved. I’ll add to the list over time.
